Surprisingly Simple Ways to Boost Your Website Traffic

Written by alain on December 9, 2008

Boosting Website Traffic…..the never-ending phenomenon.  Your website is built and hosted.  All you need now are visitors.

One would hope that just by Googling fine jewelry, your site would make it to the list.

There are so many competitors that you would be lucky to make it to page three on Google.

There are a few things that will differentiate your site from the others.

Your main goal at this point is to at least make it to the top ten in the list.

Content

For starters, take into consideration the content of the site.  People actually pay professionals to write the articles that are presented on their web pages.

They main idea behind this is comprising a style of quality that utilizes keywords a certain amount of time that will easily be recognized by search engines.

While this may seem a little new for you, it has been successful in preceding years.

Personality

Let your visitors get know YOU.  Personality is everything.  I have always stood behind the idea that people buy people not products.

In my years of outside sales, I have come to realize that giving a potential client an opportunity to see you for you are, they are more willing to trust……..trust builds relationship……which produces sales.

It is imperative that regardless of the format your content may be in (article, email etc), that a little bit of who you are shines through.

Customer Service

Another issue that will assist in bringing them to you is customer service.  It is ok to promise…..but be sure to deliver.

The product you are representing to the customer is in actuality you.  If the product is bad, it is safe for the customer to assume that you are too.

If the customer is ever dissatisfied for any reason, make it your pleasure to make it right.

In this digital age, personable contact is almost an extinct breed.  It is tough to talk with a live person on a customer service hotline anymore.

Make every sale a personable one.  How would you like to be treated?  I said LIKE not how you expect.

Anyone can give minimal service, but primo service is rarely given.

The oldest and most inexpensive form of advertising is word of mouth.  What costs is poor service.

Chances are pretty high that once a customer has had one bad experience with your site, he or she will not be back.

And just same as the positive effects of the word of mouth, the negative will follow.

The main thing to focus on in the beginning is the content of the website.  Once they come continue to provide the ultimate service.
